Friday morning I am picking up two of my Puget Sound Flyfisher Club buddies and heading over to Ellensburg for the Washington State Council FFF Fly Fishing Conclave.
The event takes place all day on Saturday but we are using Friday to get all set for the show. I am in charge of the auction/silent auction/raffles and that is where we will be spending all day Saturday, working the tables. This is going to be a great event, for anyone living in the Oregon/Idaho/Washington/British Columbia area, you should come on over and check it out. Larry About Our WSCFFF
www.washingtoncouncilfff.org The WSCFFF will be holding the Washington State Fly Fishing Conclave in Ellensburg, Washington on May 3, 2008. If you enjoyed last year’s event, then this year’s program will knock your socks off. The Conclave will consist of fly tying and casting demonstrations, classes, seminars, games, and competition throughout the day, followed by a reservation only dinner. This year’s dinner will feature Bob Jacklin as the keynote speaker. If you’re interested in learning fly tying techniques, seeing every kind of fly pattern from micros to saltwater streamers, this will be the show. Vern Jeremica has lined up demonstrations that provide something for everyone. The Overlake Fly Fishing Club is heading the education program which already has confirmed seminars from:
Brian O’Keefe on Fly Fishing the Methow
Joe Warren on Fly Fishing the Columbia River Basin
Jack Cook on Fly Fishing the Sauk and Skagit Rivers
David Williams on Fly Fishing for Smallmouth..
